First Place in Flash Fiction Competition

It was a happy day indeed here when word arrived from Streetlight Magazine editors and flash fiction judges, Erika Raskin and Mary Esselman, that my 295-word story, “Little Vova”, has been chosen as first place winner in Streetlight’s annual flash fiction competition for 2023. Streetlight Magazine is based in Charlottesville, Virginia and it has been publishing literary fiction, poetry, essays and memoirs since 2003. I thank the editors/judges for the confidence they have shown in my work; I also offer my congratulations to Sheri Reynolds and Jo Riglar whose stories were selected as second and third prize winners, respectively.
